How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Jet Ski in Chicago?
Chicago jet ski rental rates by duration, what's included, and how weekday and weekend pricing differs at Diversey Harbor.
Chicago jet ski rentals start at $100 for a 30-minute weekday ride at Skyline Jetski, and go up to $475 for a 3 Hours weekend rental. Price depends on two things only: how long you ride, and whether you ride on a weekday or a weekend.
Weekday vs weekend rates
- 30 Minutes: $100 weekday / $115 weekend, per jet ski.
- 1 Hour: $150 weekday / $175 weekend, per jet ski.
- 2 Hours: $275 weekday / $325 weekend, per jet ski.
- 3 Hours: $400 weekday / $475 weekend, per jet ski.
A 30-minute weekend ride is $115, so if your schedule is flexible, a weekday slot is the cheapest way onto Lake Michigan.
What the price includes
Every Skyline Jetski rate covers fuel, Coast Guard-approved life jackets for each rider, and in-person training at the dock. The rate is per jet ski, not per person, and each machine carries an operator plus one passenger within a 375 lb combined limit.
What can add to your total
- Late returns are billed at $5 per minute past your scheduled return time.
- Damage caused by prohibited or negligent riding is the renter's responsibility.
- Any applicable taxes or booking fees appear at checkout when you reserve.
How to get the best value
Two riders on one jet ski split the same rate, and longer rentals give you enough time to run the full lakefront and back rather than just clearing the harbor. Book in advance either way — walk-ins are not guaranteed.
